RetireSmarter doesn't collect your personal information. Our calculators run entirely in your browser — no data you enter into a calculator is ever sent to our servers. There are no accounts, no logins, and no stored records of your financial inputs.
We do use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which use cookies. We explain both below.
Calculator inputs: Nothing. When you enter numbers into our retirement calculators, those calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers never leave your device.
Usage data (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymous information like which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, what country or city you're browsing from (at a general level — not your exact location), and what device and browser you're using. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we can't identify you from it.
Ad data (Google AdSense): We display ads through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads that may be relevant to you based on your prior browsing history across the web. We don't control which ads appear or how Google builds its ad profile — that's managed entirely by Google.

We don't store any personal data — so there's nothing to retain or delete on our end. Google Analytics retains anonymous usage data according to its own retention policies, which you can review in Google's privacy documentation.
RetireSmarter is a retirement planning tool intended for adults. Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect any information from children.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. Because RetireSmarter does not collect personal information from calculator users, there is no personal data about you on our systems to request or delete.
